Essential commerce cookies
When commerce is separately authorized, FewerSteps uses the three essential cookies disclosed below. The checkout-continuity claim may remain for up to 45 days so provider-supported delayed payments can return to the correct private order state. The 90-day access term is separate from cookie lifetimes.
Optional Google advertising measurement
On an authorized Google paid-search route, equally prominent choices allow or deny optional measurement. FewerSteps sets __Host-fewersteps-ad-choice only after saving the decision. A grant loads the direct Google adapter only on eligible surfaces while every authorization and consent check passes. Denial, withdrawal, expiry, invalid state, or Global Privacy Control prevents loading.
Events are limited to landing view, checkout initiation, and provider-verified purchase. FewerSteps does not use Google Analytics, a Google Tag Manager container, remarketing, enhanced conversions, customer lists, advanced matching, or arbitrary event properties. The tag can transmit the paid-page URL and click parameter, network and browser data, consent state, Google identifiers, conversion destination, and, for purchase, fixed value 59 USD and an opaque transaction identifier. FewerSteps application code does not copy a Google click parameter into its storage. X, Meta, and TikTok remain inactive.
The exact production-path rehearsal observed the Google destinations, _gcl_au, _gcl_aw, GCL_AW_P, and _gcl_ls listed below after consent. Provider behavior can vary. Withdrawal prevents future tag loading and attempts to remove reachable first-party Google storage, but cannot undo transfers or remove Google-domain data.
